AMSA International Design Competition

AMSA International annual competitions are not all about science, but we also have competition in designing AMSA goodies. This competition is aimed to explore AMSA members’ talent in art, especially in design. The themes are changed from year to year. Last year, we had AMSA International Badge and key ring design competition, and the winner was from Indonesia. For this year, we had AMSA International T-shirt design competition.

What is AMSA International T-shirt design competition? It’s a competition among all medical students (AMSA and non-AMSA) in designing AMSA International T-shirt for this year. It was held from November 2007 to December 2007. The winner of AMSA International T-shirt competition got a 4,5x5” Genius Drawing Tablet + G-pen and the design will be printed as AMSA International T-shirt at the next AMSC in Japan. At the first announcement, the judges were OC, General Secretary, Secretary for Finance, and Secretary for Promotion and Publication, but after a big consideration, the judges were changed to all of the EC members who came to the last EAMSC in Bangkok.
There were 22 designs from 3 countries (Hong Kong, Indonesia, and Thailand) which being competed in this competition. The judging process is by vote among the EC members during the Pre-EAMSC ECM. The winner was Adi Matra Prawira from Hasanuddin University, Indonesia with 9 votes. The design can be viewed here. The winner was announced during AMSA International session in EAMSC Bangkok. The prize (drawing tablet) was given to representative from Hasanuddin University because the winner didn’t join the EAMSC Bangkok.
Thank you very much for all of the participants...
See you in another competition... ^_^
