Background of TAG:The AMSA-International Travel Assistance Grant was set up in the year 2005 through collecting 3 USD fee per delegate at every AMSA conference. It was created to provide the opportunity of joining AMSA conferences to delegates from countries in need of financial assistance.Terms and Conditions:

  • Only one delegate per country can apply for the TAG
  • The country must decide which delegate is an appropriate applicant of TAG
  • The country which applies for TAG can send at most two delegates to the conference.
  • The Official TAG Application Form with all the required information filled in correctly and signed
  • A motivation letter from the applicant
  • Travel and fundraising plan, which should include the cheapest flight and other sources of funding
Information for the Applicant:
  • Applicants who are successfully granted the TAG should register as conference delegates by the early registration deadline (Friday, May 16)
  • A separate reduction on the early registration fee should be negotiated with and decided by the Organizing Committee of the conference and is not covered by the TAG.
  • In order to receive the allocated TAG, a copy of the invoice of the plane ticket must be handed to the Secretary of Finance on the day of arrival of the delegate at the conference.
  • The delegate must attend at least 80% of the conference which means arrival after the 2nd day and early departure might not be accepted.
  • The allocated TAG will be given to the applicant in cash on the last day of the conference if none of the above regulations are violated.
  • A delegate allocated TAG must submit a report on the conference to the EC within a month after attending the conference.
  • TAG will be granted only once to each individual.
