Background of TAG:The AMSA-International Travel Assistance Grant was set up in the year 2005 through collecting 3 USD fee per delegate at every AMSA conference. It was created to provide the opportunity of joining AMSA conferences to delegates from countries in need of financial assistance.Terms and Conditions:

Only one delegate per country can apply for the TAG
The country must decide which delegate is an appropriate applicant of TAG
The country which applies for TAG can send at most two delegates to the conference.
The Official TAG Application Form with all the required information filled in correctly and signed
A motivation letter from the applicant
Travel and fundraising plan, which should include the cheapest flight and other sources of funding

Dear Delegates of the 2008 Bangkok EAMSC,

Well, the 2008 East Asian Medical Students’ Association Conference has now drawn to an end and what an amazing success was. Whether through cultural activities, academic offerings and presentations or social nights and banquet dinners, this year’s EAMSC in beautiful Bangkok lived beyond all our wildest expectations.

AMSA International Design Competition

AMSA International annual competitions are not all about science, but we also have competition in designing AMSA goodies. This competition is aimed to explore AMSA members’ talent in art, especially in design. The themes are changed from year to year. Last year, we had AMSA International Badge and key ring design competition, and the winner was from Indonesia. For this year, we had AMSA International T-shirt design competition.

Distinguished guests, Overall Chairperson for the Organising Committee Max Hyung Seok Nam, Overall Chairperson of AMSA International 2006-2007 Waka Shibata, Executive Committee, Regional Chairpersons, Chief & General Delegates. Friends.

My name is Alessandro Demaio, and as most of you are aware I am the incoming Overall Chairperson for AMSA International. Or the new Waka!

Well, the 28 Asian Medical Students’ Association Conference is quickly drawing to an end and what an amazing success it has been. Whether through cultural activities, academic offerings and presentations or social nights and banquet dinners, the AMSC 2007 here in sensational Seoul has lived beyond all our wildest expectations. From the moment we arrived to the welcoming sign and a big smile at Incheon Airport we knew this was going to be an efficient and friendly event and we were right.

Earthquake in Jogjakarta

Again disaster hit Indonesia. This time it's Jogjakarta, one of the beautiful area represents Indonesian heritage.

A powerful earthquake killed at least 2,901 people in Indonesia, government officials said on Saturday.

About 2,000 more people were hurt when the 6.2-magnitude temblor struck central Java early in the morning while many were still asleep.

Today 26th December 2005, exactly one year after the deadly South East Asian Tsunami. We could still remember the bitterness, the heartbreak, the tears and the cried for help from
casualties, they are nonetheless our own brothers and sisters.

As the former Overallchair of AMSA International and Team leader of Asian Medical
Students’ Association- AMSA relief team Team Leader, I am proud to present the final report of our
work in Aceh. All of the works done in Aceh, all the results achieved, were nonetheless the results
of the support by all of you…AMSA members.
